I’m on a roll here sewing up the latest Twig + Tale pattern for the Cosy Toes tour. Yep more Twig + Tale because Lisa is on some sort of inspiration mojo over in New Zealand, whipping out new patterns like there is no tomorrow! She’s had kids footwear in her repertoire for some time, but this winter the Tie Back Boots have had an upgrade to fit bigger people!
I’ve been buying the last few issues of the amazing digital sewing magazine One Thimble, but until now have not got around to sewing the patterns. New Years’ Resolution 2017! Here I am.
Happy 2017 everyone!
Wow, the end of last year was a cracker with loads of work deadlines, my hubby’s 40th and the usual crazy finish of celebrating my two kids’ birthdays right before Christmas! However, somewhere amidst all that, after a bit of a sewing hiatus, I managed to drill out 10, yes, 10, zippered pouches for Christmas gifts!
Hi everyone! This week sees me part of MaaiDesign’s blog tour of her new fabric line – See You at Six!
Drawing from my sewing archives of 2015, today I want to show you my Maggie Misses dress. I love this dress and I am surprised it has taken this long to blog about it!
I am so excited that FINALLY FINALLY I have got around to photographing the clothes I’ve made for myself. Actually I cannot take any of the credit. Thanks goes to awesome Maaike of Maaidesign who locked us in to a day of shooting each other to finally get some of these sweet makes documented.
Happy 2016 folks!
I’m back finally after skimming my favourite bloggers’ wraps of 2015 over this festive period as we travelled from Sydney to Melbourne to Tasmania and back (via Walbundrie!). It’s been hectic but by the end I think I found my groove eating lots and moving less. Hmm, relaxing, but not good on the waistline!
I had big plans on making a few shirts for myself this winter and the plan is unravelling. We go to Fiji this week and when we get back winter could almost be over. Continue reading “Anna Blouse”
This season, my goal has been to drill out some shirts for winter and find a few favourite patterns to sew for me. I figure it’s just a matter of trial and error to find something that sits just how I want it to. First up: Liesl + Co’s Gallery Tunic. When I saw this fabric in Spotlight and it’s super cheap price ticket I jumped at it. In a way it was serving as my ‘muslin’ but in the end I love it! Continue reading “Gallery Tunic”
