I’ve wanted to make Bugs a long nightie for a couple of years but hadn’t come across a pattern suitable. So this year, I decided to alter the Tadah! Seaside dress pattern into a long gown.

With a bit of lengthening and elastic at the cuffs… success! And Bugs loves it.

The fabric is Rae Hoekstra’s Cloud 9 Fanfare.

We’ve come home from a family holiday to Fiji with three out of four of us struck down with nasty colds, particularly our Bugs. So she has enjoyed lounging around in her new nightgown for days next to the heater and in front of the tv.

This was such an easy sew I hope to make more next winter! To read more about making your Seaside into a nightgown pop over to the Tadah! blog.
