Hello stylish boy!! This week we welcome the boy version of the Sonny Ember Maude Jacket (and Hamster’s new boots which are a bit big but so super cute I couldn’t hold off any longer!!)

I was really happy with how this jacket turned out especially as I bought this fabric with no plan in mind. Don’t you just love the striped bias binding? It comes in 25mm width, much more user friendly than the ol’ 12mm.

Unlike Buggy’s jacket which I padded with cotton wadding and lined with a poplin, Hamster’s coat is cotton outer quilted with a soft cream polar fleece. Makes for a few less steps which is handy.

As I mentioned in the earlier post, this jacket is on the snug side; my 18 mo. buddy is wearing a size 2 which you can see is very fitted. Hamch is only a little guy too for his age (you’ll be a big rugby playing boof one day baby) so definitely go a size up if you are sewing this up.

But it’s certainly a winner and is coming in handy as these winter winds belt Sydney this week.

Oh baby, work that smouldering casual look over your shoulder!

And did you notice those sweet little canine strides? More on those next week!
